Following your comments on the photos of our first factory test of the HQS of Majin Vegeta, I decided to make a little update to explain at what stage of the production we are and what remains to be done.
I therefore went to talk to our team to ask them a few questions. Here is a recap just for you.
The picture below is the first factory test (work in progress also called WIP), with an unpainted base. The goal was to see the general rending and test the LEDs effects.
Regarding the back of the energy wave, after consulting several engineers about the way to make it and wrap it so it arrives to you without any breakage, we have decided to follow their advice and fuse the top and the low parts (Otherwise the factory was refusing to make it).
To do so, the aura has been resculpted.
Instead of being cut in half horizontally, it is now cut vertically. The shape is more curved and the back has spikes all over. The overall size does not change.
The blue lightnings have been resculpted and are now going higher up to the head of Vegeta. Before, they used to stop under his arm.
An important factory work has been done to remove the bubbles from the aura. This aura is the biggest piece of transparent resin the factory worked on and required a very special treatment.
As you can see, compared to our prototype, there is a major improvement.
The inside of the aura will be sanded in order to get the unpolished effect of the prototype at the base. The aura will go from translucent to transparent and the light effect will be emphasized.
The textures have been reinforced and the rending if very promising.
The aura seemed smaller on the picture of the factory test. It is not. The height is the same. However, one of the branch was leaning inside, so it’s placement will be corrected (see picture below).
I also saw some comments on the yellow colors of the hair that seemed different. As you can see on the picture below, this is only due to the lighting of the room.
That’s it for the feedback from this first factory test. Don’t forget a special numbered plate will be included with it. The factory hasn’t sent it so I can’t show it to you. But be sure we will do our utmost to ensure this statue will be worthy of your collection.
I also want to remind you that the pictures on the website are those of the prototype that may end up varying in the factory. We do our best so that the variations remain minimal and to improve your statue compared to the prototype. However if you still feel unsatisfied, you always have the option to cancel your preorder (without any penalty if we are at fault).
Don’t forget that the website has a tab « contact » with our support center e-mail address.
By the way, the next LIVE for Aiolos is getting near, and I hope I’ll be able to give you a date soon on the Facebook page. There will be a lot of info during this LIVE so don’t miss out.
See you soon.
