Last summer, we had the problem with Natsu, now it's Naruto's turn to be lowly counterfeited? So please be wary when you buy a figure, online be sure to know the website you're using. Should you have any wonderings, just ask to others users their opinion before buying something you might regret.
Comparison between the original et la bootleg
As you can see, if you just take a quick glimpse, the bootleg might seem identical to the legitimate. However, as soon as you look closely, a lot of clues help you identifying the wrong one from the right one.
First of all, the painting? To save money, the bootleg has a rougher, gradientless paint job. Even the skin, which is done with colour impregnated PVC seems not finished.
The stamps and other details are less detailed too. And at last, the sculpt shows lots of defaults (in the hair or on the head band for instance).
Comparaison entre la figurine originale et la contrefaçon - Détails sur le visage
You should know that they also counterfeit the packaging. So, even with Tsume's logo, you have to check the overall quality to be sure it's a legitimate product. If the printing is blurry and the packaging looks like a copy or a scanned version, you can be sure it's a bootleg.
Of course, keep in mind that a figure sold drastically cheaper than the standard price (44,90? for Naruto), then it's more likely not a Tsume.
Should you spot some bootlegs, please share the information. Way too often are there people buying some without even knowing it. When they discover they've been tricked, they can do nothing but regret.
